The story behind the AC Cobra (more commonly known as the Shelby Cobra) is pretty straightforward. A mega talented guy saw an opportunity to make a car more powerful and he just about did that. The fact that the original car wasn't even from the same country (or continent) didn't matter to him. A 1960s legend was in the making, and now, more than half a century later, its appeal hasn't dwindled one bit. In fact, if anything, the love for Cobra has only increased. And there's a pretty striking modern iteration, which replicates the original but modernizes it in more ways than one — without messing up the basic formula.
